Inclement Weather PolicyThe decision to close schools due to weather conditions will be announced via radio and TV for Catholic Schools in Jefferson County. One of the following announcements will be made:
1. All Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson Co. are OPEN;
2. All Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson Co. are CLOSED;
3. Catholic elementary and high schools in Jefferson Co. will be OPEN BUT ON A DELAYED SCHEDULE.
In case of a delayed schedule, St. A’s will be open at 7:50 a.m.with classes beginning at 8:50 a.m.and dismissal at 2:40 p.m. Please note that delayed schedule policies and times vary at each individual Catholic school.
Early Dismissal: We DO NOT dismiss early. Once students are here, we remain until 2:40 p.m. However, parents may pick up their children early if they choose to do so.
If the news announces that Catholic Elementary schools are having early dismissal, St. A’s will still dismiss at 2:40 p.m. but SAFE will close at 4:00 p.m.
If school is CLOSED, all activities (sports practices, events, etc.) will be cancelled for that evening.
