St. Athanasius PTO

The PTO is a group of dedicated parents who meet the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the school cafeteria. We work to promote communication, good will and cooperation among parents, faculty, Administration, School Board and the Parish Community.

The PTO coordinates and sponsors many events and activities throughout the school year including:

Grandparents/Special Friends Day

Field Day

Market Day (2nd Wednesday of every month)

Health Screenings (Hearing, Vision, Scoliosis, Height/Weight measurement)

The Santa Shop

Faculty Appreciation Luncheon

Roller Skating Parties

Parent Volunteer Appreciation Mass & Breakfast

Fundraising

What else does the PTO do for our school?

Purchases playground equipment and first aid supplies

Coordinates parent volunteers for the Teachers Aide Room and Classrooms

Provides and serves refreshments at the Christmas Program

Sponsors the Capital Prize booth at the Church Summer Festival

Awards two $500 Academic Scholarships to an 8Th grade boy and girl for high school

Provides Spirit Wear items such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, jackets, hats, etc. available for purchase on-line at The Hornets Nest web Store

In the past few years, the PTO has completed extra projects that include renovating the Teachers Aide Room, purchasing desks for both first grade classrooms, purchasing a new awning for the cafeteria and new window shades for all the every room in the school and purchasing a bench for our school’s Butterfly garden.

You Are Invited

You can contribute to the success and happiness of your child’s school year by taking part in what goes on at St. A. All parents are welcome and encouraged to share their time, talent and ideas at our monthly meeting. We meet every second Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the cafeteria. For upcoming meeting dates, see the calendar section of the Tuesday’s Thoughts. It is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and be an integral part of the school community.
